Robot Structural Analysis Concrete & Steel Design training
This course is aimed to those with basic experience of Autodesk® Robot™ Structural Analysis Professional (RSA) modeling and analysis, and who wishes to utilize the reinforces concrete and steel design features in RSA.

We combine theoretical lectures with demonstrations and practical exercises on relevant examples.

Concrete design

We briefly rehearse basic modeling and introduces the two design modules provided reinforcements and required reinforcements. We explore how these modules can be used to design bar type elements as well as shell elements and fundaments. The design is conducted inside the framework of the Eurocodes and the Norwegian National annexes. We go through the collection of Eurocode options availiable in RSA and how to adjust them to local circumstanes and requirements.

After the course, participants will be able to use RSA for reinforced concrete design, analysis and documentation. Participants will also be aware of how RSA can be used in a BIM solution for further documentation or analysis.

Steel design

We briefly rehearse basic RSA modeling and load handeling and extends to more advanced modeling features relevant to steel design. We explore the steel design module and see how it can be used to do verification and designs of steel members as well as verification of steel connections. We go through the parameter sets that are available for steel design after the eurocodes and how we can adjust them to local circumstanes and requirements.

The design is conducted inside the framework of the Eurocodes and the Norwegian National annexes. The course covers both single member design and group member design, used to optimize the structure design.

The joint design moduled is introduced and covered in its entirety, including: modeling, analysis, verification and documentation.

After the course, participants will be able to use RSA for steel design, analysis and documentation. They will be able to utilize the large set of predefined steel sections that RSA offers, or make custome ones of their own. Participants will also be aware of how RSA can be used in a BIM solution for further documentation or analysis.

The course is delivered over one full working day, from about 8:30 to 16:00, with breaks for lunch and coffee.
