Robot Structural Analysis Earthquake Analysis training
This course is aimed to those with basic experience of AutodeskĀ® Robotā„¢ Structural Analysis Professional (RSA) modeling and analysis, and who wishes to utilize the earthquake analysis features in RSA.

We give an introduction to earthquakes and how they affect buildings and structures. We explore the analysis methods that can be used in RSA for doing earthquake analysis and how they can be useful in design. These methods are Lateral force method, Modal response spectrum, Push over analysis and time history analysis. We look at how the results are different based on which method we use and why they are different. We work within the framework of Eurocode and the Norwegian national annex.

The focus of this course is on the analysis methods but not the design of structural members according to the EN-1998.

After the course the participants are expected to be able to do earthquake analysis in RSA and seek out the results from the analysis.

The course is delivered over one full working day, from about 8:30 to 16:00, with breaks for lunch and coffee.
